Program

This course is intended for anyone (beginners, beauticians, hairstylists...) seeking to learn fundamental hair beautifying techniques. In 4 months, master the studio hair care techniques with our skilled educators. This exclusive pack includes several courses divided into 80 sessions (90 minutes each), whereby in the end students will obtain a Diploma of qualification. During the training, we offer you the ability to discover the anatomy of the hair, how to work with hair tools and treatments, styling, extensions, cutting and hair coloring, and this will be done through our theoretical & practical classes, and it covers all the Hair Care Diploma Content.

ABOUT THE EDUCATOR

We introduce to you our Lead Trainer/Educator at the Hair Care Department, Mr. Wajdi, a master colorist of GOLDWELL GMBH, holding two Certificates in Training Communication methods. Mr. Wajdi attended International Training & development seminars in Europe and the Middle East and has been with the Jothen Academy for the past 15 years. His department became the main reference for best Salons and Students in Kuwait.

THEORY & APPLICATION/HANDS

In theoretical classes we offer you the Science and Hair Anatomy, the Hair Color science, and principles of Color mix. In addition to those theory classes, there are classes for Hair Styling / Cutting / Extensions / Concept of using Hair Care Tools and Treatment Basics. Moreover, the students need Hands-on to become better hairdressers, so we emphasize on the practical training to give the opportunity to each one of them to practice, make mistakes, and learn. Students need to have their own tools and products to work with, sharing tools is prohibited to maintain a hygienic atmosphere for everyone.

REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Applications should be submitted on-line.

Back at the academy we’ll revise each application and will communicate with the student on acceptance to fulfill her registration.

To confirm participation a deposit of KWD250 must be settled ahead of the course.

Next payments will start after one month from Class start date for three installments.

Fulfilling the full amount upon registration will grant the student a 10% deduction on fees.

Accepted Methods of payment: debit/credit card, cash, bank transfer.

The Academy doesn't offer a scholarship for this program.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Students should attend all classes daily (excluding weekend days). A pattern of absences may affect a student’s grade substantially, whereby your attendance is 10% of your total grade.

The Class trainer/educator, in full coordination with the administration, is the direct authority responsible for the implementation of the Attendance Policy.

The academy only validates absences related to medical excuse upon need and only when requested by the administration.

The student is responsible for the material presented during his/her absence.

The maximum number of absences for classes is 15% ONLY.

EXAMS & CLASSES

Classes are held from Sunday to Thursday, starting at 8:00 AM to … PM with a theoretical/demonstration and practical in the afternoon under the supervision of teachers.

The student must get 76% or above on the following exams to get their official Diploma:

1. Hair Care Basic Education (Anatomy & Customer Welcoming)

2. Basics of Handling Hair Care Tools

3. Coloring

4. Cutting

5. Styling

6. Treatment

7. Hair Extensions

*The Graduation Exam contributes to 30% of the total score.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- All students wishing to enroll on intensive training must be at least 17 years of age when the course starts
- The Academy will make its best efforts to offer you the knowledge needed and all the modern techniques
- The course is Bilingual (Arabic & English).
- An Official Diploma in Hair Care shall be issued accordingly.
- All trainings are delivered by permanent and/or adjunct teachers.
